Summary: we have to learn many things before we become a doctor and we learn knowledge structrally; we are building up one knowlege on another. This structural knowlege concept are properly taken into our curriculum.
A chemistry teacher told us about our school's carriculum design. (In my opinion this is not a kind of information talked by a chemistry teacher in a usual lecture because this is related to a whole structure of our six year carriculum not limited to a subject of chemistry. see below.)
| Six Years Long Carriculum | ||||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| module | year | Subjects | ||
| Clinic Module | 6 | Rotation | ||
| 5 | Surgeory | |||
| 4 | Physician / General Practice | |||
| Pre-Clinic Module | 3 | Pathology | Pathophysiology | Pharmacology |
| Basic Module | 2 | Anatomy | Biochemistry | Physiology |
| 1 | Biology | Chemistry | Physics | |
Note: In my opinion these important bird-eyed carriculum information should be officially delivered by a carriculum leader in charge in Orientation because everybody should know this overall information so that Orientaion was a good opportunity to let everybody know. But they did not mention anything about this overall information in Orientation. Instead a chemistry teacher voluntarily let us know. If he had not taught us we would have lacked this essential information.
An Anthropology Teahcer told us an important thing in another aspect; we learn three classifications of subject. (This is also a topic which should not be talked by a teacher in a usual lecture because it is related to a whole curriculum. )
Structure of a subject.
This is how we build up our knowledge in a subject; for example Chemistry and Anatomy.
