Turn off the shutter sound of camera app in Japan:
it is mandatory by law in Japan that all smartphones makes a shatter sound, thus it makes a sound even if you set it in a silent mode, which would be annoying to be honest.
- Root needed:
change the file name of /system/media/audio/ui/Shutter.ogg to e.g. Shutterx.ogg via a rooted file manager such as ES File Explorer.
This worked for my galaxy s8 with Android 7.0.
- Root not required:
Download an application called "setEdit". Find the key called "csc_pref_camera_forced_shuttersound_key" and change the value from 1 to 0.

This worked for my galaxy Note8 and Note9 with Android 9 for both.
This did NOT worked for my galaxy S8; there is no such entry in setEdit.
