We had a intence pre-medicine summer course from July 29th to August 16th 2013. The course include three subjects, Biology, Chemistry, Physics + English. I did not take English. This is the first time to study acadmic subject in Hungary.

As a summary, The classes are really good; to refresh academic memory especially for those who has a long time since they gradauted schools. They are basically high-school level but the difference from ordinary highschool contents is that they are modified to medicine specific; for exmaple, each chapter has a section of "medical use" in chemistry textbook. Each subject are taught by a group of lecturers. The quality of class is different among the subjects; Biology(Great) > Chemistry(Good) >> Phisics(Not so good).

• Students
Around 80 people. My personal servey says people are from all over the world with certain tendency; People from Norway are many; 10 or so. German 6 or so. Iranean 5. a couple of Spanish, Portgease, Brazilian, 2 south korean, 3 Japanese.

• About the textbook
I have read the textbook every single page. The textbook is very good for premedical students. It has 27 chapters for 28 classes; meaning carefully editted for 28 class(usually for 1 month long) course. Nothing is too easy, nothing is too difficult. Everything is picked up very carefully, and well descripted on picked up subjects.
• Chemistry
• They have a textbook.
• They do NOT follow the textbook.
They said the textbook is revised. Our question is why not the content of class then? Actually it is very hard to follow the teachers when the tearchers don't follow the textbook. A lecturer came to us and check which page on our textbook we are now in; like 44, 74(jump), back 22. too messy. He eventually gave up because it took time to page through and find the page everytime.
• Teachers are fully knowledged and some teachers are interactive; for instace a teacher saying all the time any volunteer? quickly! time is money(but he is good).
• About the textbook
I have tryed to read the textbook every single page. The textbook is basically good; but sometimes too many things are packed; ex inorganic chemistry, although organic chemistry was edited compactly.
• Physics
• They do NOT have a textbook. Without textbook we can not review the content, follow the context during the class, or read before the class. This indicates it is hard to understand and actually it was, thus I have to say from even this fact only that it is the least quality among the subjects; No textbook is fatal.
• They can NOT follow the textbook, because they don't have a textbook.
• Only some teachers are fully knowledged, others do not even speak English well.
• About the textbook
I can not tell. again, Because they don't have a textbook. I told this no textbook problem to the lecturer in charge. He said they don't have much time to edit their textbook; when I say comparison between subjects, he seems to understand the problem.
• Timetable
We have 4 classes everyday from 8:00 to 15:30. (If you take Enligsh you have another class from 15:45 to 17:15. ) We have three sujects. so one class remained (4-3=1). the remained was biology for first week, then chemistry for second week, and physics for the third week. We have 28 classes for each subject. I think there is no problem with this system; only after this fully intense classes I have to go and find my apartment and go to immigration office to clear visa related isuue, which is too busy.
