Introduction to Biochemistry 1 and 2
May 2014
Summary:Their teaching is generally good, except for
lectures. Exams are in written form, which is rare in Hungary. Their
book Organic and biooragnic chemistry written by Hungarian was good
unexpectedly.
Feature: Exams are written form, not oral, which is rare in
Hungary. Exams are tough but They ask good questions. You have a lab
test every week at the begining of class.
Lectures: Lectures are not good generally; it depends on
teachers. They use power-point slides and cover too many things. The
number of students attending lectures decreased significantly at the
end of semesters. There were only two students in a class once, one of
them was me... That indicates how bad their lectures are.
Seminar: They have seminar only in 1st semester and They don't
in 2nd semester. Seminar depends on who teaches you. Our teacher was,
as my Norweigean friends says, "he is a good person but not a good
teacher."
Lab: Labs are generally good; full of hands-on experience. see
below. They ask several questions from Lab in mid-term tests.
