Summary: There are some concrete examples to show how tough Exam Period is.
You will hear some people shouting with a hilourious joy, because they passed an exam. That is good!
You will see many people crying and some other people soothing them(usually girls). Very sadly and unfortunately they failed.
I saw a female student sobbing a bit loud. Some other students was consoling her in front of an elevator. She obviously sound emotional and she was mumuling something.
Then she suddenly started to move (back) to biology department shouting to them. I don't understand what she was shouting. (I thought it was Hungarian.)
Maybe she failed at C chance. (we have 3 chances to pass a subject.) If you fail all three chances, you will get a failure mark. In case of Biology, it has a consequence; it is a prerequisite of many subjects and you can not take these subjects until you complete it, meaning you have to wait one year...
In instruction periods, this craziness does not happen. In exam periods you will see many people crying but not this extreme way. This is a rare and extreme case. But it happened. Exam period is that tough. (May 2014.)
Fact: A 2nd-year swedish student died because of a car accident during an exam period.
What I have heard from my 2nd-year swedish student: He failed anatomy final(neuroanatomy). He decided to quit and he drove his car to home. His anatomy teacher made a phonecall to him to make him calm. He oversped much and crushed vigorously WITHOUT seatbelt fassened. He accelerated so fast that his car rolled several times When it crushed.
My interpretation: I interpret his behaviour as his version of suicide, because of overspeeding without seatbelt. If he has a reasonable mind, he should have known it would be suicidal. It is commonly known they have decreased judgement ability when they commit suicide. Very sorry for him and his family. (June 2014.)
