Professors' and Teachers' English

Summary: Their English is basically good enough, although Enlgish is their Foereign Language. There are a few exceptions.

Their English is basically good enough, although it was also my concern before I came here. I found that I can understand them very well. However, some have very thick/sick accent that I have hard time to understand them. I suppose that the ratio is like Good/Bad = 8/2 or 7/3.

Note: Enlgish is their Foereign Language. They speak German and teach German Students in German Program as well, meaning they speak at least two foreign languages.

Some teachers have British Engish accent, which is not easy to catch for us who study American English.

Hungarian's English is basically very easy to follow, I think, because their language(Hungarian) is also rather vowel-oriented language; for example they pronounce "tea" as "Te-a" with two different vowels. This nature is close to Asian Lanugages.
