Gold Exchange (yellow sign)
I live in Hungary for 4 years and in Budapest for 2 years. I study medicine in Hungary and become a doctor! I will give a good foreign currency exchange agency with a good rate and low commission fee. I compared a dozen of agencies and I found this is the best among them.
It is called "Gold Change" with a yellow sign on the street, located in Corvin Neged on Metro 3 in the city center. The address: Budapest, Ferenc krt. 31. Google it. It is easy to find since it is on a big street.
When I was comparing the rate in Feb 2017, the rates were 289-307(7% difference). And the comission is 90-690(0.3%-2.3%). Note: comission depends on how much you exchange and this comission is for 30,000Ft(roughly 100euro). The gold exchange was 307(the best rate) and 90(the best commission, more precisely they charge 0.3%). The photo above is from google street, and it seems that it was taken June 2014, so it runs at least 2 and half years.
There are many Foreign Currency Exchange Office in Budapest. Some are banks, others are more like a kiosk type. Of course, exchange rates differ among agencies. Don't forget commission fee either, because it also differs and what you get may become smaller even though exchange rate itself is better.
There is another office of Gold Exchange in Blaha. The rate is as good as the other one.
Note: Gold Exchange 1 and 2 were closed in the whole October of 2019.

The rate is very close to Gold Exchange. The rate was 296 Ft/USD when Gold Exchange has 297Ft/USD. The commission was 150Ft for 100 USD. Gold Exchange has 0.5% commision, thus it is also almost 150Ft.
