1. When does the exam period start? It is the beginning of the instruction period. Not the beginning of the exam period. It is way too late if you start to study from the exam period.
2. Don't aim at just pass(passing grade: 2). I saw many people focusing on just passing grade because they think it is how you can save your energy and also the semester. It is, However, very risky. It is like a 50:50 to pass and to fail. Actually the rate is usually worse than that. Don't rely on luck.
3. This advice is especially true for final exam subjects; you have to review quickly for previous semester contents but it will be harder if you have limitted knowledge prevously.

   Nothing is difficult when you have determined to do it!

4. Focus on the midterms. Some people don't care about midterms. They say it is just a midterm. No, unfortunately. There is a correlation between midterm and exam. It is likely to fail, if you failed a midterm. More importantly, examiners usually check your midterm grades; Their attitude will change accordingly; they will be harsh, if they found you have not studied during the semester; how do they know you study during semester or not? Midterms, of course.

   Don't forget you are under a screening process. First two or three years are especially so.

5. If you fail a midterm, it should be just one subject. then you can study really hard during the exam period and you can pass the subject as well as other mandatory subjects. But if you have failed two subject's midterms, it would be hard to pass both of them. It is highly like to fail either subjects, which results in a repetition of a year.
6. Don't be lost at tiny details; there are some points which are more important than others. These questions are so important that you will fail, even immediately, if you can not answer. It is hard to find such points for first timers and They are bad at emphasizing these important points. My advice is, use some good lecture movies materials! Good lecture movies are good at focuing on important points.
