Red Reflex in pupil (normal) (Leukokoria is the sign)
note: pupil was dilated by mydriatics.
The 2 year old patient has the retinoblastoma. He was already enucleated for the other eye.
If the patient has the mass in the central region, it will show a typical leukokoria. But this patient does not have, so it has a good red reflex.
The patient has a chemo-therapy. The drug is locally administered through sclera into Vitreous body. The other local adminiteration could be done by a catherter; femoral(radial) artery, internal carotid, ophthlamic a(1st branch), central retinal a. This way, we can adminiter a higher dose with less adverse effects by the chemical.
