Turn on Sleep

  1. background
  2. Somehow my windows10 laptop change its behaviour after adding 8gb memory (i.e. 16gb memory total.) It goes sleep state but it goes to hybernation more often than before. This is one reason to upgrade my PC to Windows11. It won't go to sleep after upgrading Windows11, however.

There is no sleep settings in the control panel.
  3. Trouble shooting.
    1. $ powercfg /a # on powershell
    2. It shows that something is wrong with graphics.
Display adaptor says something general, but it should be Intel HD Graphics 5500.
    3. open device manager and check the graphics driver.
    4. It shows that a wrong device driver is working as default.
    5. Download a device driver from panasonic web site
    6. It does not work. so a counter part has been downloaded from intel web site, which works!
    7. Power config finally shows time sleep intervals.

  5. RZ4 graphics device driver works fine as default somehow. that gives me a good hint to solve this problem.
    1. $ powercfg /a # on powershell

    2. open device manager and check the graphics driver.

    3. control Panel shows time sleep intervals.
Updating BIOS was also performed, but it is probably nothing to do with a successful sleep function.
